I was born in a situation the World called poverty—material lack, limited opportunity, no obvious roadmap to success. But I have come to understand something deeper: poverty is not just the absence of resources. It is the absence of purpose.

I am not telling you this for pity. I am telling you because your birthplace, background, or beginnings do not limit God’s grace. If He did it for me, He can do it for you.

Early Pain: Rejected Before My First Breath

My story began with trauma. My mother was only 15 years old when her innocence was stolen. I was the result of that violence—born into a world that never asked for me and did not expect much from me.

Yet somehow… God had His eyes on me. Even before I could understand the World, He had already marked me for something greater.

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart.” — Jeremiah 1:5

The Hidden Years: Obscurity, Hard Work, and Humility

When I moved to the U.S., I took whatever jobs I could find. I cleaned cars. I made mattresses. I prepared sandwiches at Wendy’s. I was overlooked, unheard, and unseen by most of the World.

But in those hidden years, God was working on my heart. He was teaching me humility, character, and discipline. He was forming a man, not just a worker.

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” — Luke 16:10

The Turning Point: Discovering My “Work”

The jobs paid the bills, but they never fed my soul. That is when I began seeking God—not just for provision, but for purpose.

I discovered I had a gift for listening, healing, leading, and teaching. With time, mentorship, and divine grace, I became a licensed counselor, a pastor, and eventually, a counseling doctor specializing in marriage and family.

What changed? I stopped chasing jobs and started pursuing the work God created me to do.

“We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works…” — Ephesians 2:10

Now: Living to Serve and Build for the Kingdom

I am the founder of Love Counseling Center and Love Kingdom Church. I have authored over 30 books, including 12 Kingdom Secrets to Becoming a Millionaire Anywhere in the World and God Wants You.

But it is not about titles or income. It is about impact.

I am here to tell you: You do not have to stay where you started. God does not waste your pain. He transforms it into purpose.

From Poverty to Purpose: Lessons Learned

  1. You are not an accident. Even if your beginning was painful, your existence is intentional.
  2. Poverty is temporary when you embrace your divine assignment.
  3. True Wealth is the ability to serve others through your God-given gifts.

Final Word

Do not give up if you are in a place that feels dark, overlooked, or full of lack. God sees you. God can lift you. And He can turn your pain into a platform.

You are not poor by default. You are filled with purpose by design.
